What is Sweezy Wear?
Sweezy Wear is a Portuguese baby clothing brand, created by Isabel Costa de Sousa, a baby planner and childcare specialist, in partnership with Ana Machado. Our pieces are designed for the comfort, safety, and style of babies, always using high-quality fabrics and minimalist design.
Is Sweezy Wear a Portuguese brand?
Yes! We are a 100% Portuguese brand, from creation to design, with national manufacturing and some imported fabrics to ensure maximum quality.
What is the concept behind Sweezy Wear?
"Sweezy" comes from "Sweet and Easy". We want clothes that are sweet, practical, comfortable, and easy to wear, perfect for the daily lives of babies and children.
Who chooses the fabrics and designs?
All pieces are designed and validated by our team, with curation by Isabel, who has been helping families choose the best baby products for over 10 years.
Quality and Materials
Are all your pieces made of organic cotton?
Most of our pieces are made with 100% certified organic cotton. Some pieces may have small fiber blends for greater elasticity or durability, but we never compromise on quality or safety.
Is the cotton certified?
Yes, our organic cottons are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified, ensuring sustainable and safe practices for the baby and the environment.
Are the clothes safe for babies with sensitive skin or eczema?
Yes, all pieces are hypoallergenic and free from harsh chemicals, perfect for babies with sensitive skin or conditions like eczema.
Do your clothes shrink in the wash?
Because we use natural fibers, there may be minimal shrinkage, up to 5%, in the first wash. We follow standards to minimize this effect. Always follow the washing instructions on the label.
Sizes and Measurements
What sizes are available?
Our sizes range from newborn to 24 months, depending on the item.
How do I know the right size for my baby?
Consult our size chart available on each product page. If the baby is between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for greater comfort.
Do the pieces have a wide or snug fit?
Most pieces have a comfortable and adaptable fit, ideal for everyday use, without squeezing or restricting the baby's movements.
Garment Care
How should I wash Sweezy Wear items?
• Machine wash up to 30ºC, with neutral detergent.
• Do not bleach.
• Air dry or tumble dry on a gentle cycle.
• Iron at a low temperature, if necessary.
Can I tumble dry the items?
Yes, but we recommend natural drying for longer garment durability.
Does the color fade over time?
No. We use safe, high-quality dyes that are wash-resistant.
Orders and Payments
How can I place an order?
Simply choose the items you want, add them to your cart, and complete the purchase by following the steps on the website.
What payment methods are available?
We accept MB Way, Multibanco, credit/debit card, PayPal, and soon Klarna for installment payments.
Can I change my order after it has been finalized?
Yes, as long as the order has not yet been shipped. Contact us as soon as possible via the email provided on the website.
Magnet Safety
Are your magnetic items safe for babies?
Yes. We use fully encapsulated magnets, sewn into the fabric, to ensure they do not come into direct contact with the baby or detach easily.
Can magnets be swallowed if they come loose?
The probability is extremely low, as they are sewn into multiple layers of reinforced fabric. However, as with any children's product, we recommend regularly checking the items. If you notice any defect, discontinue use and contact us immediately.
Do magnets interfere with medical devices?
Garment magnets can interfere with medical devices such as pacemakers. If the baby or caregiver has an implanted medical device, we advise avoiding items with magnetic closures.
Can magnets damage cards or electronics?
The magnets we use are small and safe, unable to demagnetize cards or affect everyday electronics.
How should I care for items with magnets?
• Always machine wash up to 30ºC, preferably in a laundry bag.
• Do not bleach.
• Air dry.
• Do not iron directly over the magnet area.
Why did you choose magnets instead of snaps or zippers?
Because they are more practical, silent, and safe. They allow you to dress and undress the baby easily, even when sleeping, without waking or hurting them.
Do your magnetic items comply with safety standards?
Yes, they comply with all European textile safety standards, including EN 71-3 and REACH regulations, which ensure there is no chemical or physical risk to babies and children.
